The Tarnished Prize of Peace
Tarnished now The Nobel Prize of Peace:
A shadow of its former self.
It succours sadness and willful disbelief,
When given to the truly undeserving.
I anguish for those languishing in jail,
Who've strived for justice and for freedom.
Their courage is a sentinel of light
Against the backdrop of dictarships deplored.
Tarnished prize, who now can comprehend,
The diminished status you have now acquired?
Disgraced, where once true recognition
To those who had suffered much for Peace's cause.
