The Sunset
Watching the sun set, walking with you along the beach
There is absolutely nowhere else I would rather be.
The waters kiss the shore near the bottoms of our feet;
The seagulls provide a loud yet soft melodic symphony.
I want to enjoy the simplicity of this peace,
This heaven on earth provides a sweet release.
Taking our sweet, precious time, we’re in no rush,
Feeling the softness of the sand collapsing beneath us.
The white sands are grainy between our toes,
Quietly washed away by the gentle waves’ flows.
As the sun descends, my love for you swells.
My heart and soul are where my love for you dwells.
Along our infinite path of love layered with sand,
We walk together, side by side and hand in hand,
Two happy people who love each other deeply,
Finding pleasure in a love that I find completes me.
