The Song of Aphrodite

I have chosen You.
Sweet and handsome mortal, come to me…

Whisper to me your longings,
and I shall tickle your ear with my saccharine breath.
I shall take you to places
where only gods and goddesses roam.

Aware am I of how my radiant beauty entrances you...
Be thankful to the Fates that it is you I have chosen.
I have sprung forth from Ocean's foam,
but we shall churn that sea...
Flowers at my feet would pale
to the flowers that spring forth from my heart

How I know too well that my eyes mesmerize
A twinkle from the windows of my soul
and I know I have captured you.
I would gladly take off these necklaces ‘round my supple neck
if it means that your lips trail soft kisses instead…

I would happily unclasp these brooches in my hair,
and let my flowing tresses
tickle your gorgeous face and body,
as I take my turn to adorn you with my kisses.

I shall discard these golden robes made by the Kharites and the Horai
and reveal my nubile body for you to explore
with your eyes…
…with your hands
with your lips…

Let the Seasons be forgotten,
as we move to only know of Love.

I have chosen You.
Sweet and handsome mortal, Come to me…

Uuuu, nikko, this one is naughty. :)) My dad just nicknames our boat 'Aphrodite'. :P A lot of sensuality here. Me likes it, but I think I'm too little for this -lol. :)

"and reveal my nubile body for you to explore with your eyes… …with your hands with your lips…" OK, if you say so! Do you have a bit of extra meat on your bottom? (just a bit extra, not too much). Because if you do, I will be your slave forever! I am obviously going to put you down as a favorite poet, but not because of your haiku; because of your free verse>>Phong

Congratulations on your HM Nikko, but i differ actually this deserved more than an HM, never mind! i loved your imagery n comparison here with saccharine breath n handsome mortal....n the romance is indeed a visage to a hungry mind..theres a metaphor as well which i think is hidden in the first lines....n thanks for your consideration on ccelestial....

P.S--Ok, and the contest only had 7 placement spots anyway....sheesh, this could have at least been put into a list of top ten placements no? So there are only 7 top spots, and then *Boom* sorry, but you get a HM haha!

Wow! Have I ever read a poem of yours that has this much sensuality in it? This is pretty steamy *blush* Sheesh, and I thought you were only writing about corn lately? You have very nice details in here as well, like Karites, Horai and saccharine.
