The Solar Eclipse

On a normal day All is quiet A crimson delay Causes much unrest Shadows grow Strengthened by darkness All we know, exceeds understanding What lit the Earth Loses power for just a moment A dark shadow, crowned By a golden halo Suspended in mid-air Blindlingly awestruck We question its influence What the eclipse has to teach We may never know But for just a moment We stand in silence
