The Small Stream

Traveling the small stream And not the river wide In the flat bottom boat With a paddle and guide The wide streams all flow To cities of delight Where lazy is the day And wild the dark, dark night All the narrow streams lead To a quiet small village Where church's steeple high Instills lasting image How well I remember That small flat bottom boat As the guide propelled it To the rhythm of notes Clear tones from the church's bells Ringing out those old hymns Oh, that Guide leading men Christian come home to Him Finis'....
