The Search
I can feel it welling up in me
That dam so deep inside
I feel the tension in my head
The tears behind my eyes
Im feeling so alone right now
With confusion settling in
And now the tears do start to fall
And life becomes my sin
I wonder bout the men I’ve met
And the ones are here right now
I don’t know why I can’t find rest
Why power’s on their side.
It’s not much I want, I do not think,
Just someone I can love
Someone to hold me peacefully
With a kind and gentle art.
I’m done with fights and nasty words
Of people being grim
Those people who just do not care
Bout pain that cuts within
