I've written of heartaches and other sad things Of broken hearts and the pain that it brings I've written of death and of those that grieve Of women abused but too scared to leave I've written of sorrow and people who cry Of those who are cheaters and of those who lie I've written of tears that can fill the sea Of people that's lost their serenity I've written of children that's lost their way Of husbands and wives too jaded to stay I've written of depression that people feel Of those giving up for they've lost their will I've written of love that didn't last Of people who live their lives in the past I've written of poets who spill their soul Of many things that we cannot control I've written of dying and of suicide Of those who lose, even though they've tried And though I've written of all this stuff There's much more to say, I've not written enough
