The Rose

In a meadow encompassed by death
a solitary rose blooms
the only one left
turned silver by the moon

After the sun begins to rise
the morning glistening with dew
the ruby petals break their ties
its departure darkening the worldly view

There is a lot of strong clarity in your lines. Ah, the power of a simple rose to change everything...
