Notes About The Poem
This man must have been so grateful and enjoyed his newfound freedom and independence that the healing must have brought him..Sara

The Pool of Bethesada

His two useless legs
Only weighted him
Using his arms pulled
To try to get in
The troubled pool
Thirty-eight years
Sickness lingered
Jesus asked "Do
You want healing?"
The man said
"I can't get
In the pool."
Jesus
Said "Be
Healed"

Based on John 5: 1-9
Loose translation
Actually Jesus said pick up your bed and walk...
