The Killing of Innocence
What invades a persons head
or even within their heart
if they indeed have one
where does this all start?
The killing of a child's innocence
taking advantage of one so young
using them for selfish gain
what indeed can be done?
We can't stand back alone
together we must stand up
for those so young need us
to rescue from their bitter cup
Our tears fill our hearts
to think of the damage
that's done to those so young
should fill us with rage
It could have been one of us
whose life suffered such abuse
think upon that for a while
please set the innocents loose
