The Journey of a Fool
A man sits anxiously aboard his flight.
It was just months ago in full moon’s light
his wife and kids he started to betray.
The journey of a fool begins today.
That night in full moon’s bloom, he met the face
that launched his thousand ships. His fall from grace
had barely started when she went away.
The journey of a fool begins today.
So brief their fling! So little that he knew
about his lover. Yet his passion grew
till lunacy infection in him lay.
The journey of a fool begins today.
Not having knowledge of her married state,
he flies to her. Their lives he’ll devastate!
Good sense and sanity have gone astray.
The journey of a fool begins today.
