The Inaugural Ball of America's Fall

On this infamous, tragic date of January twenty first, two thousand thirteen,
surreptitious, long orchestrated events gave way to an ambiguous elation.
Such an ironic, accepting, joyous treason has never been seen,
The culmination of the Trojan horse take over of a once great nation.

On freedom and hope, “winners” closed their own iron gated curtain,
Their votes for “change” and “choice” had sealed their own negative fate,
Definitions of good and evil exchanged, that much is certain.
Lies flew like flies from an angel of light in a fiery lake.

The majority voted for a self proclaimed Godless administration,
Again, they knew much better than God and deemed themselves higher,
And conformed His laws to the usual “ I’m worth it” reconfiguration.
Happily roasting themselves on their own funeral pyre.

On the date of this “ominous party” take over.
The Constitution was happily thrown to Rover.

This is enough to shake people out of their apathy and open their eyes to what is going on. I hope there will be an awakening in Amercan hearts this year to resist what is happening. A wonderful write Bob!

Hi Robert, this is a very powerful poem, alas though not just america, having lived in the uk, then new zealand, and australia, now back in the uk, after 42 years away, i've seen repeatedly and very subtle this change coming about, every word you write is true, the now though is the system, as got at our children, and are re-educating them, only the historics(Old Buggars like me) can see it, and once we are gone?

Wow, I think your political stance reels with passion and gives you the impetous to drive home the awful consequences of error. Don't know when it will all happen but believe it is just waiting. A travesty in motion my friend. Love, Lizzie
