The Gaurding Pumpkins

There are some pumpkins Some well-lit Jack-O-Lanterns That guard the front gate Of the dark haunted mansion Where ghosts and spirits fly free The air permeates With an aura of evil When a mist arrives Carries through the blackest night Just the pumpkins give off light

So where are all these interesting haunted spots you write about, Russell? Do you have ghost tales near your town? i like the imagery of this dark place with only pumpkins' light guiding.

Yeow...they sound like Halloween gargoyles, Russel! They must have the scariest looking faces.:( Maybe like a gargoyle the chase off the evil spirits. But a haunted mansion doesn't sound like they'd be handing out many treats. Fun Halloween write!! BOO!!!:)) Best wishes, Mikki
