The Flames of Dawn

The flames of dawn peek over heartbreak hill Leaving the embers of love scattered across the ground The fire's warmth is replaced by a chill The spark of love is nowhere to be found Nothing remains to kindle my desire Left with only the ashes of what used to be No chance of rekindling the fire That once blazed between you and me A fiery sunset paints the sky with orange hues Its glorious blaze now a flicker on the sea Like our love it slowly sinks out of view Its dying flame leaving me melancholy But the flames of love will one day blaze anew And rise to light the dawn of a love that's true

Joseph. You wrote a very beautiful sonnet and I don't say that too often to sonnet writers. I just love the words you chose and the imagery.
