The Darkening Hours

Night to day Day to night
 Your presence in the shadows
Your passion a fire that burns even at the distance
I am a moth to your flame
 Attracted without concern
Even your rejection sweet to me
The past not a distant memory but a constant reminder
Calling me back I move through this dream
 Animated by your voice
Guided by hope once misplaced but never lost
 I approach ever closer
 An almost unfathomable distance
Have you eluded or trapped me
My heart tells me there is no difference
My mind surrenders to the inevitable
The dream becoming my only reality
 Am i lost or found
Only you know the answer

Very powerful, even when love is not returned I feel we are more human in the very act of loving another. I enjoyed your poem.

Wayland, ""thank you for leaving a blissful thought, I do not mind the dark feeling... after all isn't that what poetry is all about.. ((all kinds of emotion crawling from all corners)) The question here is of passion and fire with a fever of wanting to know... always~PD

What you just described is what Philosophy created in me. I really enjoy all of your comments. "AS WELL AS EVERYONE ELSES". Had to do that public service announcement. Thanks again for all the wonderful comments.
