The Consuming Foe
Adamu is missing here
He went a road all mortals go
Silence grace the missing space
Igniting our heart throb
Unhurriedly death dragged air
Out of his craving nostrils
Leaving a speechless mould
For he tested positive
He had the consuming virus.
See Adamu,
Stiff, benumbed and deaf to comrade's call
Flying into a plane
From which no man has returned
Rickety old Mr. Death
Conquered this promising child
Death has debased his proud heart
This poem is fiction.
