The Burning Wire

Out of depth, I have cried for you, In all my breath, I speak of you, My soul waits, my soul mourns, As I wait for morning, I wait for redemption, Am clothed in shame, yet I await the crown, Am made of boils, yet am waiting for your anointment oil, My heart is divided like the red sea, The stars have refused to shine, Yet I praise you, my frame brought to you, In your book am written, The days fashioned for me, Search me, Try me, and know me, Deliver me from these men, In you I take refuge, Don’t leave my soul destitute I raise my voice, Take down the point, Am your portion on the land of the living, Bring my soul out of this prison, They have persecuted my soul, Help my spirit not to fail, I lift my soul to you, I spread my hands to you, Am a thirsty land? My heart within me is distressed, Am like a breath, My life is a shadow of death, Come down from your heavens, Let me touch your mountains, Stretch your hands from above, Show me of your undying love, My heart speaks lying words, My heartbroken wounds never binds, I long for your precepts, Revive me in your rectitude, I hope in your ordinances, I will contemplate on your statutes, I have thought of my ways, I have decided to turn to you without any delay, This is not a forged lie, Am coming back home, Melt the fat in my heart, Extract the part that hurt, I pray, tame me not to stray, I would have perished in my affliction, But you settled my life in your heaven, Your name is my meditation, I have seen the consumption of all perfection, Your word is a lamp to my feet, Your name is the light of my heart, You are so inclined in my heart, that we can never part, I hope in your word, you’re my hiding place, Unto you I lay my life, Rub off the rivers running from my eyes, Give me understanding and I shall live, I cry wholeheartedly to cling to you, I rejoice in you my great treasure, I rest my life to you, Cling to my fragile heart please do so Christ, Never let me go, because I need you so.
