The Beauty That Was
"Dreams to Unravel" and I close my eyes drifting in memories,
Bottomless is my pain, an endless chasm, "Fathomless" and eternal;
"Whispered Words" before death uttered quietly, never to forget,
My lamentation and melancholy "O, the weeping" the terrible weeping.
"Pages of Time" pages engraved forever in my mind, slowly turning,
I stand at your grave with "Flowers Wilted" asking God why;
"The voices of the Dead" are calling, whispering, seeking answers,
Like it was yesterday "Remembering Still" all the beauty that was.
"Picture Perfect" is each beautiful memory I hold dear in my heart,
And each night you wait "Beyond Midnight" down that winding path.
