Tears and Laughter
tears and laughter are the very same thing
they live like magnets and are opposite things
yet each side does metal attract
each to the extreem emotion an act
sometimes tears are tears of joy
and sometimes laughter a way to be coy
but to each his own these givers of signs
that tell the world what cannot be denigned
what we feel deep inside still like babies we cry
we cry to tell someone that something is wrong
our tears are symbols that should be known
somewhere is listening are ears and throne
brave enough to earn a metal
proud enough to make it known
and hope washes tears away
an accomplishment made a tremendious display
and when the saving has been done
then comes the laughter with which they have won
