Tangled Vines

Tangled vines, poisonous air, Knotting my hair, choking my lungs. Cold iron bars, keeping me here, Why do I continue to hold my tongue? Unspoken words, unbearable want, Longing for you, not telling you. Vines made of pain and fear, Don't let me tell you what's true. Untold emotions, unwritten songs, Sing of a love hidden in the dark. Un-ending pain, eternal rain, Lost in a place so empty and stark.

I love how you made your tangled vines of the abstract variety. Well done.

A point comes in our lives when we get so fed up & tangled, that we either give up or cut the chords. I think the latter is the best way this time. :) Powerful & ominous piece, Emily.
