Take This Heart From Me

Take it, will you? I don't want my heart anymore It's got holes and dents and blackmarks And I'm sure there's even more Its hurting just sitting here In my chest, it burns a hole As if i didn't have enough already Just tie it onto a pole And parade it around for everyone to see The bloody flag blowing in the wind But wait a minute, its not a flag... That heart once belonged to me But i don't want it anymore It doesn't feel like my own I know you can't buy a new one But it's okay cause I'm alone Take it from me, will you? If you fix it, fine, just keep it. I'm done with this heart inside my chest Its too fragile, too weak and unfit
