Deep blue fading to light blue
On the horizon tinted pinkish orange
Minutes before the sun comes up
To sit and watch in wonder.
A thick for in the valley below
Not quite reaching the summit
Gentle breeze blowing thru the trees
Dew upon the last summer grass.
Light sweet smell in the air
Fresh and clean like new
A sense of contentment and ease
Tranquility all around me.
The sun new peeks over the horizon
To see what’s in store for it
On this brand new day
Not a cloud in sight.
