Summer Solstice

Summer solstice

A new born poem.
The cock heralds far and wide
the dawn of this day.

Lines one and three are brilliant. However Haiku should not have titles. Without the title you would not know its summer, as cocks herald all year long.

Way to compare a new, genuine poem to the nature of dawn. Brilliantly penned! Always, Laura

As an Alaskan the summer solstice is the premier day of celebration... You have given your readers a gift. Victoria (wandering in Africa)
