Summer Dreams Cloud Autumn Streams

Harvest moon christens autumn's regal jubilee But festive soul pants for June's, Rose moon matinee Autumn's leaves sparkle with newly minted sleeves Yet my mellowed heart for summer's jade cloak grieves Bold colors tinge forest canvas with newly painted eaves But my insatiable eyes for the silted, summer meadow seethes Autumn's mountain orchards with crisp, tart apple scents tease Still my truant nostrils long July's, blackberry aroma to breathe Swirling autumn winds through trees a blithe melody wheeze But muffled ears strain to hear soothing rhythms of a summer breeze My footsteps trod over the quilted carpet of autumn's fallen leaves Yet tingling feet long summer's soft, clover strands soles to fleece

Another weekend is here and I have not read as many poems as I would have liked to this week. I am happy I was able to read yours today. Have a wonderful weekend Stephen. Hopefully I will be able to read more next week. Love, Carol
