Suicide Prevention
The scars on her arm
Are reminders to all who take a look
Of the unseen scars upon her soul
When her life she almost took
The reasons now seem kind of foolish
Even inside her own, now healthy, mind
But back then, her particular situation
Offered no other options that she could find
The finality of a suicide
Is easy for the troubled soul to overlook
She is now thankful she was rescued
To write more chapters in her book
The scars on her arm
Now act as prevention when she gets down
They help her come to realize
Different solutions always can be found
