Stargazer
Stargazer
Life is not a fairy tale
There’s no meaning in the stars
Only in yourself
And the world you build
Happily ever after
Is a story unfinished
Every timeline entertains disasters
Life is all in the relief effort
Once upon a time
There was all the time in the world
A journey charted through the stars
Life happened
House, job, fell in love with a girl
Now I watch the stars from my backyard
Every one I see
Makes me wonder how much time has passed
As galaxies silently twirl
Like a clock they wave their arms
But my watching is set too slow
I wave back
Then head inside to hold my girl
Turning off lights and alarms
So our universe can glow
While it can
