Stare

There is a LOOK!!! Like cold ice. from men and mice, I will not ignore, The warmness in a motionless shore, Keeping me from the insanity The stare in my vanity taunting me haunting me promises looking straight at me tears of serenity free from all mental stress or anxiety drowning in self silence, holding on to balance, my eyes flick vindictively. spellbinding aggressively staring at movement in a ghostly way hiding like baldness under a toupee, wider than the projection of a silhouette sleeping away the visions I want to forget, Like I said there is a LOOK!!! I'll never understand, From mice to: man. by;pd

It's nice to be in the same mind set as you. So that means we can always tell what the other is thinking. Mmmm that can be dangerous lol. Later luv.

This is really very cleverly done. I could see myself staring at my own reflection and trying to see into myself. The part about from mice to men left me but the rest fit right in. Like you say it's a stare we can't ignore. Here in our vanity we taunt ourselves and promise to make ourselves better. We look ourselves over and critique ever line every wrinkle. A fine piece that makes the reader think. God Bles, JB thanks so much for your encouraging comments. God Bless, JB

all kinds of cool things in this poem of yours PD..............including that baldness simile, staring at movement, personification of promises. all cool. If I was better educated i'd come up with a much better word than "cool" but that seems to be topo dog in my vocabulary for now. I like the name of it along with that pretty eye staring at ...Movement?

from mice TO man or from mice AND men. You said it both ways and it makes a big difference in your meaning. haha. This is really interesting, PD. I quite like it. Love the way you said "hiding like baldness under a toupee." Your imagery is always so unique. Hey, you went and did the idea that I was going back in forth on in my mind, whether to do a clerihew contest!! well, I can always do a new one later down the road. And that way, you can enter YOUR best one!! (or else I will make it even harder and say to use a brand new one. heehee) I hope your contest fills up fast now. MAny people are doing great clerihew. Luv, Andrea

Hmm, a very interesting poem and a little scary in parts. Seems to do with death and rebirth. Perhaps I am wrong. Thanks for reading my most recent post. I indeed do fear God. With all the power he has, he can zap you out in a second. Take care and keep writing, Jancarl
