Somewhere Else

Somewhere else the sun is rising the day ripens on a slick branch continues to grow its leaves fanning its scent attracts swallows and bees a breeze stirs the grass below but not the ants between the blades until day falls the branch bends beneath its weight shadows rise and continue to climb only then the ants look up to see their faces in the sky

Apologies for the extended withdraw...been busy with some other projects elsewhere. I will try to post something here soon, though ;-) Hope you're well :-)

An interesting poem arrangement I am undecided which way to read it, line by line, column by column, two separate pieces side by side, this will provoke some inteesting writing exercises, thanks for sharing, enjoyed.

What an awesome image this poem invokes. I love how you stylized this poem for that purpose. :) Always, Laura

1st read; a "fleshed out haiku" for lack of a better compliment. 2nd read; the feel of each vignette settles in. 3rd read; Is it somewhere else, too? Very nicely layered. - Chuck
