Someday
I don't know who you are
I don't know where you're from
I only know I wait in dark
for you and light to come
I stand here underneath the stars
and smile and think and wonder
Are you near or are you far
will we two heal these lives asunder
will you look and feel it too
take my hand and walk with me
we'll be alone, just us two
and gaze at sky, two lovers free
will you cure my weary ails
and soothe my night-borne fears
will you be there without fail
and feel my joy, my tears
now come to me my love, my one
I somehow know you're there
come to me and hold my hand
together we'll end despair
We'll be together but not just now
for your dancing eyes I wait and pray
someday we'll kiss, and touch our brows
We'll smile from inch away
we will soon dance so close together
we who are now far apart
we will love endless, light as feather
without an end, a destined start
when I dream, old times and places
you'll laugh and hold me, satiated
when my mind makes feelings belated
I'll push on through, show feelings naked
you'll dance and laugh and lead me on
We'll go together side by side
we'll run and play in the new dawn
we'll start this life's long ride
I know your face so well my friend
I know it not at all
I'll be here in this time 'thought end
Waiting for my lover's call
