Solitude

I spent my summer days In solitude And drank the wine Of long days And silent nights. I read some poems, Heard some songs, And turned the pages Of the past. Often, You came into view And my solitude Closed in on me. Like the shadows, That become the night, The solitude became My loneliness.

The fine line between solitude and loneliness is that same line between satisfaction and desire. I am lucky to have found this featured piece, William. Very thought provoking.
