Smashed Up Smarties

smoking pot,
drinking 'MORGAN'
its done alot,
but no one cares
at the parties,
he smashes smarties
people laugh and dare him to.
he inhales deeply
he dose it freely
nobody forced him to
he starts coughing
pot heads mocking
his insane poposterious stunt
he grabs a can
out of his best friends hand
in an attempt to get it out
fake 'homemade' coke,
and his shirt beer soaked,
he heads home wih fear
that his mother might hear
him come in his window,
his girlfreind waits
to take her place
held tight in his arms
little did she know,
that he was stoned
and out parting all night.
he put up a fight
to say that he had a right
to be free for once in his life.
If you would have known him
before i started this poem
you would know how romantic
 and careing
and shareing
and wonderful he was.

It's a shame he's taken this direction with his life, Bree. Maybe there's something you can do to lead him down the path to a safer, brighter future. He needs to kick these dangerous habits quickly. Very compelling story about the most insidious destroyer of our youth. Well written but very troubling. Love, carolyn

Sounds like he is in the past. I could go several different directions with this. Keep the creative pen flowing. Sara
