Silver Batise
Silver batise gown mother nature wears
Long flowing garment with all plants she shares
Cool and damp she covers each leaf and blade
Preparing the earth for fall's rich deep shades
Alive with color her gown will soon flow
Richness and beauty the sun's rays will show
Crickets enjoy their time gratefully sing
Joy from thankful hearts resoundly ring
