Sifting Through Sand

Sifting through the sand Looking for something with value or at least something solid to grasp Every clump touched quickly breaks away and falls through the cracks Tiny pieces glistening in the sun look so tantalizing Just to small to have any true substance What once was a solid piece of beauty has slowly crumbled away with time The glue that once held it all together is now lost Now these separate tiny pieces are just blown away in the breeze.
