She Sits Alone
A queen
Devoted to all
But herself
Sins of a past
Forgotten in good deeds
Yet, without a king
Golden statues
Success monuments
Dried blood around them
Words of wisdom
Engraved by her nails
A background in her absence
Her steps of grace
A song birds voice
Onlookers stop for nourishment
Her tear stained gown
Tarnished crown
Still without regret
An empty throne beside her
