Share the Laughter
Sometimes our days grow dark;
Sometimes the rain pours down;
Sometimes we cannot help
but wear on our face a frown.
So, we must learn to turn on the light;
Have fun splashing in the puddles;
Stand on our heads to turn the frown up-side-down
whenever we become befuddled.
There are times when Moms are tired;
There are times when Dads aren’t there;
There are times when we just have to tickle ourselves,
to get rid of our own despair.
So, forgive the adults for forgetting,
that kids have needs of their own,
and help them by sharing the laughter
of a child who is not yet grown.
