Shadows Of Snow

Thousands of artists
Standing in line
Dripping their paint
On canvas supine

One leaf at a time
They fall where they may
Creating a blanket
Of floral array

Silently giving
A most brilliant scene
A plethora of colors
For all to be seen

But soon their wonders
Will all fall below
And be only memories
In shadows of snow.

I credit Russell Sivey for the last line. I used it in my own way (Shadows In the Snow)with his blessing. Thanks Russell.

Art does truly mimic nature's ebb and flow. You nicely spliced the two together. Enjoyed your well-crafted poem!

So many beautiful words topaint your canvas with, each leaf a color, a scent and all together dancing till autumn is over. I love it! :)

Nice metaphorical description of artistic meaning. Not only the quality of paints fading over time, but the depth of meaning is also interpeted away! Good description of art revisionism! Enjoyed your free-flowing, rhyme-scheme as well.
