Serving Those Who Crave

.

               Gifted souls with tender touch
                        and morning dew

Slumped forward with pen and slip
eager to share what God to us
                             did bless

                     Rhyming and flowing
                  serving those who crave
                    the passion and desire
                       of the poets mind

                      A sip of the goblet
                      and an extra word
                      to keep the hearts
                         of the excited

                              in burn

Yes, "a loaf of bread, cheese, jug of wine, and thee." Something like that. We could substitute pen and paper for the cheese, but never the wine. You do have the "tender touch. Love, daver

Oh, I'd like to step inside your mind and see where your creativity originates, James. Perhaps I need a "sip of the goblet" to write like this! Excellent, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
