Season Dancer
Today out the window are all shades of blue
Snowflakes and clouds that whisper of you
And I still remember the way you enticed me
The snow by the river, barely flowing & icy
And I still regret that I had to soon leave
But springtime was coming with warm air to breathe
Today out the window the rain will soon fall
Upon greening leaves of flowers quite tall
And I still remember the way you enticed me
The buds by the river and fish that surprised me
And I still regret that I ended our fun
But summer was coming and I wanted the sun
Today out the window is a blistering day
The Sunshine beckoning to swim time away
And I still remember the way you enticed me
The cool of the river that the hot sun denies me
And I still regret that we soon had to part
But autumn was the season to calm my blazed heart
Today out the window I'm looking at home
The autumn leaves falling, you and I alone
And I still remember the way you enticed me
The flow of the river, disguising what I see
And I still regret that I had to go
But winter was coming, and I wanted snow.
