Rubbing Bums With Some Famous People

The days just seem to be whizzing by In a month I'll be seventy-eight Seems like just a few years have passed Since going on my very first date Exciting days of discovering new things The world was shiny and new A little bit scary but an absolute blast Disappointments I've had just a few All in all it's been a fabulous journey Stopping at many great ports Wouldn't change a thing even if I could But the journey was way too short Maybe I'll return as a piece of sculpture Observing your every move Perhaps a treasured Stradivarius violin Serenading visitors at the Louvre Even come back as a well worn seat In a popular Hollywood restaurant Rubbing bums with some famous people What more could a simple guy want The days just seem to be whizzing by In a month I'll be seventy-eight © Jack Ellison 2013

Great for you, Jack. Cheers! You are aging gracefully. That's the main thing. Enjoy it. Know you are :)

Time sure does fly... I'll be 61 in October... Though my body feels a wee bit older than that... With my kids at home for the summer... I still feel the adventure of it all... They're doing some crazy things... Joey's girlfriend got fired from her first job. Accidently spilled a pitcher of beer on a customer... 2 days in a row... Wish I could have seen that one! Would have laughed my behind off... Yes, it really happened. But she found a new job the next day... Can we say, sweet young thing. LOL

Hi Jack; This is a very good way of describing what your life has been. I am glad that you have had a good life. we all have our ups and downs, but I do believe that we have more good things than bad. Thanks for sharing and I hope you celebrate your B.D. in a big way...... Lucilla
