Remembering Boston

With the finish line coming into sight Lives were changed by a flash of light Hatred buried in a tormented heart Ripped innocence and purity apart At the end of a race ran so well A challenge’s quest turned in to hell Devices created to kill and maim Achieved their ends on those not to blame With chaos and confusion in the street The heroes rallied and did not retreat With fear and destruction as the terrorist’s goal They will never thwart our compassionate soul Tears were shed throughout the world As caring eyes watched the scene unfurl But in the end there was no terrorist gain As “United Forever” is our vowed refrain I pray for those who paid a hardy price I hope thoughts and prayers someday suffice Your unfortunate loss will be remembered by all As justice upon the responsible fall

Joe, I'm having second thoughts about writing about this horrible atrocity. Anything I could write will pale in comparison to your post. I will undoubtedly try, though, so give me some slack in your comments..... Love ya Bro..... Jake
