Quatrain Migraines

“Your quatrains are giving me migraines” Think I just heard someone say Sorry my good friends that's all I know At the number of forms, I'm amazed Could branch out, attempt something new A style artsy fartsy and clever But I get all sweaty at the thought of failure So I stick to what I've known forever This form has always been poetry to me Since I was knee high to a grasshopper Very famous bards have used other forms Not this simple minded clodhopper Some of us guys seem to like simplicity And I'm about as simple as it gets Maybe one day when I'm old and grey Oops! You're cool. I bet that darned old dragon would listen to you and Cathie... You want him?... He knows how to fertilize roses REAL well... Your quatrains might teach him happy thoughts... or he might give you material to talk about... Especially if you don't talk about him... He likes lots of attention... LOL (I seem to be having a lot of fun with him... but I can spare him a while... might help my roses to see some sun, again... I think they're getting a MIGRAINE!... LOL)

"Knee high to a grasshopper" Oh my! Were you a Lilliputian in a past life?? In all honesty though whether you write simply or try to be witty and clever the most IMPORTANT thing is that you be yourself... no one seems to take that to heart as much you.

Ha ha! You have delighted me again with your witty and wondrous poetry my friend! I really enjoyed reading your clever writing, and just so you know, Quatrain is a form of poetry(as if you didn't know) and so you don't have to write in any other form if you don't want to. You are writing poetry even if you only write Quatrains my friend! Just so you know, I love to read your pleasant quatrains every day...I look forward to the simplicity of the form, and the rhythm and rhyme of it! Great Work!!
