Power of Her Light
La Lune, La lune
Upon your hills highest point
We lay, awaiting as you to chase away the sun
Upon your hills all about we are strewn.
Object above so high, scientists swoon
Others call to you
in the form of three
Maiden Mother and Crone
Strong feminine deity
Earth and her beings are bound
to this Goddess so profound
Driving men insane
Casting darkened shadows in your wane
Driving seas and water to purge and flow
Beams like a lover's hand move so slow
Inspiring the brush of the artist
to forge Endymion's Sleep
Whilst others dance nude
Around a fire, offerings of love so deep
Artemis, Shiva, Isis,
Under any name, your followers
Ask for your guidance in crisis
Blamed for ravenous killings by the wolf
Your fullest nights, humans cowered in fear
Yet to others your light brings auspicious cheer
Oh how many tears have been cried under your light?
Oh how many times have your powers brought right?
Oh Luna do you see us in our devotional plight?
