Power
A man must have a journey
Whether far or wide.
Temptation, no matter what,
Will be by his side.
There's always need for power
What's the power might be different
And the means to get power
Always seems to be switching.
Obtaining power
Doesn't mean complete satisfaction
It's only a check on a list
Or a temporary distraction
That's why some satisfaction
Are against the law or is a sin
Because Utopia and Euphoria
Are just myths that it brings.
Being born with power
Doesn't guarantee you it's yours,
It can be taken away
By someone trying to settle a score.
You might not have the power to refuse,
But you do have the power to choose
Whether or not to abuse.
Unholy and holy reside within
Every human's might
Because each day we choose
To save or take a life.
When power reaches a point
When it doesn't know where it is
That's the time our minds
Get trapped away with it.
