Poverty

Poverty, The very shallowness of poverty swallows me, Like a snake swallows a mouse. Poorness, It is the cause of my muscle's soreness, Because my bones are too porous. Cuts, In salaries and work time and such, Makes me wish that I was rich very much. Eating, Mayonnaise sandwiches, Is not one of life's advantages. Wealth, Means a lot to me even though I don't have it . Stealth, I claim ownership of this quality. So after I labor diligently and stealthily No longer will I let shallow poverty Swallow me. written in Fall 2004 while still @ college ULM before economy was declared to be awful it was already awful in Monroe, LA for a large group of certain people who were rich with talent and skills and no means to use it at home.
