Picture Perfect
A Violet by a moss stone,
Half hidden from the eyes !
William Wordsworth

I am a girl a little bit Gothic and so ethereal,
Within a folded rose I hide myself from the world;
My ebony hair a veil to view the horror that I perceive,
I peer beyond my velvet petals to find beauty.
I cannot speak of my pain to those who care,
Choosing to hide my feelings behind a crafted mask;
And within my perfect rose I dream and dream and dream,
My visions take me again and again to this place.
Above a full moon dances with billowing clouds,
The ornate gate creaks as I push it to enter again;
A winding road engraved upon my mind beckons to me,
I glide pass reaching gnarled trees.
Angel statues do not comfort me from my sadness,
The rows and rows of tombs an eternal maze of stone;
In the misty cemetery I drift beautifully ethereal,
Until I hear the first bird song.
