Wonderful peace.
Ever searched for,
Ever dreaded.
Dark, cold, lonely,
Silent, warm, loving,
Wonderful peace.
There are no conflicts in my soul today.
Confusion fills my head.
What am I to worry with?
I shall relax
And let the day run its course.
I will not worry with worries today.
There are no conflicts in my soul.
I am at peace.
Wonderful peace.

Excellent imagery and emotion. Though I suspect the narrator wishes to convince herself as much as the reader. Am I right?
