Past of Horror

I wake up with another tear for I have again, relived the nightmare will it ever leave me with any way to see when will I again be able to see my family the past is forgiven so why is it still living my heart was so broken but soon after it was frozen let it lie and the past die for I have a life to live with but the past is still being relived how do I stop this past of torture so I can find my new future

Hey Denise, you made two spelling errors in this work, this won't impress your peers, you must proof read your work as your presentation will suffer many bad comments, poets are picky at times and can dish out plenty of critisism, so please be careful before posting. Try not to end with a question as it leaves people up in the air at the end, finish with a punch line, a surprise, it works for me. John

I forgot to comment on your poem itself, it is quite inspirational and you do have to let go of your past or you can never move on with your life.

A lot of heart in this little poem and one can sense what you are feeling. You have some rhyming lines and one good internal rhyme, but this one has the feel of free verse. Good job! Kim
