Parade of Broken Souls
It's not easy, seeing them passing by.
So many sad souls, makes one want to cry.
Battered and torn, ripped apart by life.
Some, the loss of money and fame,
others, a home, children and wife.
To some, life is but a game,
and some, have no path.
So full of anger and hatred,
they are consumed by fire and wrath.
Others or eaten by prejudice,
discrimination and blindness.
No show of concern,
no display of love or kindness.
Some are the junkies, pimps and the whores.
They are there in the streets,
the hallways and doors.
Now the good too, seem to be cast aside.
A nation once so great, has now lost its pride.
It's not easy,
nor, can we bury the truth about life.
The sorrow, the anger, heartache and strife.
Whatever happened to the American dream?
Or the goals, as a new nation is created,
with a "Parade of Broken Souls"
