Painful Goodbyes

Cold body nestles itself in A cozy warm blanket Under the spell of a swaying moon I lose myself in this empty room Surrounded by darkness Memories of you that once swoon Slowly begin to fade As the hollowness inside Insists on keeping me awake Distance so cold Seeps into my bones as desolate tears Have penned in my soul Painful verses and prose So much time has gone by I search to find small Glimpses of our lives entwined I can no longer make out your face But a part of me keeps searching to find you anyway Come morning I will curse my own life For who says half dead Is the same as being alive So many times I try to wish you away but For me, it's like you never left my side

Such passion you have; you must have loved this person with a tender heart easily broken. your heart seems still to be fond. I was deeply moved in your telling and humbled by your masterful interpretation of love lost. I shall enjoy reading more of your poems.

thank you so much - Maddie as Ninny Threadgoode once quoted from one of my fav. films A heart can be broken, but it will keep beating just the same It's true we are where we need to be :) and as we grow so will our chances of finding what we really want I believe that wholeheartedly
