Once Again Out On the Porch

Dark gray clouds cover the morn's sky Fog wraps the creek and hills An eerie green glow radiates From yard light so surreal The pampas grass' fronds fluffed white Standing soldier like straight No breeze stirs its blossoms or blades Nature for sunrise waits The roosters' crows invite sunrise Doves coo a faint welcome Crickets resound in symphony Sing Jimminey in hum The sun breaks the horizon's line Cast charm pink 'pon the clouds Fog's damp floats slowly saturates Most trees wear its gray shroud
